FTA is an architecture office in Hanau working across housing, healthcare, industrial and sacral buildings. They had thirty-odd built and planned projects and no way to show them.
The site is editorial rather than corporate: one idea per page, German copy set as supplied, and photography given the room it needs. The office's own material carries the design — there is no decoration competing with it.
Publishing had to survive me not being there. Adding a project is a folder of photographs dropped into one directory and nothing else: the build derives the slug, picks the cover, generates every responsive size and registers the page in the sitemap.

Content the client owns
German copy, office data and legal text live in two files. Adding a project needs no code at all — the folder is the interface.

Photography without the weight
A Sharp pipeline runs before every build: AVIF and WebP at the widths the layout actually requests, with dimensions baked in so nothing shifts while it loads.

Per-page canonicals, a generated sitemap and Organization schema, written around how people in the Rhein-Main area actually search for an architect.
